Let Jeanet Barber from 'Magickal Bodies' whisk you away! On arrival back to your body, you will feel relaxed, renewed and restored!

What to expect: We will begin by stilling ourselves to arrive in the room and create an intention. We will then start with a series of meditative practices connecting you to mother earth and your inner being which will induce deep relaxation of the body, mind, and soul. These deep relaxation practices prepare the body & the energy systems to receive the soulful healing sounds and immerse you into your own mediative sound journey. The calming harmonic concentric waves of sounds combined with the vibrations will spread throughout the room and saturate every cell of your being which will allow you to easily enter a meditative state of being.

Sound meditation is a form of focused awareness meditation and involves focusing on something intently as a way of staying in the present moment and slowing down the mind chatter. In sound mediation you focus on the sound and the vibrations. 

Sound meditation is believed to:

How exactly does sound meditation affect our mind? We are always thinking, feeling and doing 101 things at once, all this chatter generates an enormous amount of activity in our brains, known as ‘brain waves’ measured in frequencies:
Beta: Awake. This is when we are alert, logical and productive during the day, which over time with little rest, leads to stress, anxiety and restlessness.
Alpha: Relaxed. Our memory, imagination and visualisation skills are heightened. We are here during light meditation or when we’re daydreaming.
Theta: Deep meditation and light sleep. Theta is when we feel most inspired, creative and introspective.
Delta: Deep, dreamless sleep where our brain is regenerating. 

The optimal range for relaxation and de-stressing is between Alpha and Theta, this is where we are conscious of our surroundings but we feel deeply relaxed and in control of our thoughts and feelings. This is often referred to as the day-dream state. During the sound meditation, the goal is to take you from Beta to Alpha and Theta. This is so you can drift off in a meditative and dream-like state to acquire the maximum levels of deep relaxation. The Theta brain wave state also allows you to journey into higher places of being and realities. It is in this state of mind that we can begin to hear the whispers from our spirit guides. It may not happen the first time or the second time but it will happen. You may receive images of flowers or animals, colours, or even be shown picture like images before you begin hearing the whispers but be assured whatever you receive throughout your journey will be for your highest good.

Generally, Jeanete will play for an hour or so. However it may feel like she's played for less than half of that the time because you have actually relaxed and drifted off into the alpha and theta zones. She will then gently transition you out of meditative state, bringing you into a relaxed state of being.

Afterwards you will be given time for reflection and if you wish to share you can do so over a cup of tea or water and a little treat. You will leave feeling a lot calmer than when you first came in, you will be relaxed, renewed, restored & balanced.

Tickets are $29 per person.

Bring a yoga mat, pillow/bolster/cushion, blanket and water bottle. Anything to make yourself most comfortable! Wear something comfy too, PJ's are acceptable!
