Discover the rhythm of your soul through African drumming.

Join Kofi (Paul) Osei from Akwaaba African Drumming for a one hour workshop where you'll be taught some simple patterns and rhythms on the djembe drum in a friendly and supportive environment.  Drums and percussion instruments are supplied.  Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Kofi has had the great privilege and pleasure of teaching and performing in Western Australia for over 20 years.

Akwaaba ("uh-kwaa-buh")...meaning “welcome” in the Akan language from Ghana, Akwaaba's vision is to use traditional African drumming and music as a tool to promote harmony and cultural understanding within the West Australian community.

Established back in 1996 by Kofi (Paul) Osei, Akwaaba has been entertaining a wide variety of audiences for over 20 years with energetic, powerful and interactive performances, drum circles and workshops. Our use of traditional African hand drums and other percussion instruments bring alive the rhythms of Africa.

Refreshments served upon ending of the workshop.
