Do you have a high level of sensitivity and a great big dose of empathy, often to the point of taking on the energy and pain of others? 
 
If so, this meditation course has been designed for you. On this unique, 5 week journey we will come together for 2 hours each week to learn how to....

- "switch off the mind" with quick, easy breath, focus and mindfulness techniques.
- calm and centre yourself daily. Quickly reducing stress, tension and anxiety, and increasing energy.
- embrace and appreciate your sensitivity and protect your energy with visualisations and meditation.
- increase your intuition and recognise your dominant senses.
- develop a deeper awareness of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours 
- manifest personal change & an introduction on the body’s subtle energy system (the chakras).
- awaken & strengthen dormant parts of your personality through archetypal awareness and powerful guided imagery.
- you will receive a journal and pen that you need to bring along to each session to briefly note your experiences, reflections or insights as well as things to work on each week. Not only a learning environment, this course is interactive and is centred around personal development.
 - you will be given a personally diagnosed flower essence healing remedy. Flower essences are nature's mental health elixirs. Unlike essential oils or herbal remedies, they are an energetic medicine and can change the way we react to our environment, therefore reducing or even removing stress, emotional blocks
 

- nurture and empower your sensitivity so you can truly be the person you are meant to be! 

WHAT TO BRING: 
Please bring a yoga mat & pillow/cushion, water bottle, wear comfortable clothes & bring a jacket. Bring your journal & pen each week-this will be given to you on week 1.

 Due to the personable nature of this course, numbers are limited to a total of 12. To avoid disappointment we recommend you book your place ASAP.  These courses tend to fill from a waitlist.
The cost for the 5 weeks is $155. This cost includes your personal flower essence healing remedy, your personal journal and pen.

Important note: If the term "empath" is new to you, you can read more about empaths below. If you do not specifically identify with this term, you can still benefit from the skills and techniques taught in this course, and although no prior experience in meditation is needed, we will be doing a lot of visualisation, so an openness to this style of meditation is required. If you are not a visual person or find it hard to visualise (imagining something with your eyes closed) you may find this course challenging. Although the intention of the visualisation is the important point -not so much the image, if the thought of regular visualisation feels frustrating to you, you may prefer the Inner Peace with Everyday Mindfulness course.    

 
WHAT IS AN EMPATH
Empaths have usually been told, or at least feel they are "too sensitive" they can tend to feel emotionally drained or stressed in crowds. They are naturally giving people, often giving so much that they have no energy left for themselves. They are highly attuned to other people’s moods, good and bad. They feel everything, sometimes to an extreme. If they are around peace and love, their bodies take these on and flourish. Empaths are super responsive and being around people, the busyness of every day life and excess noise can be draining, they are quite often introverts and get "refuelled" from being alone and/or spending time in nature.

When overwhelmed or dealing with the impact of stressful emotions, empaths can suffer anxiety, panic attacks and prone to depression. Empaths tend to get fatigued very easily.

Empaths are intuitive and can usually sense what’s going on around them, it is important to develop this ability and learn to distinguish between their own and other people’s emotions. This will help empaths find positive relationships and avoid becoming involved with people who take advantage of them, quite often narcissists are drawn to the sensitivity of an empath.

BEING AN EMPATH IS A GIFT!
An empath can avoid the fatigue, exhaustion and overload once they learn how to centre themselves and work with their sensitivities rather than against them, learning to stay in the present, have clear boundaries and clear their energy regularly. The gifts of sensitivity and empathy are precious. Keep opening our hearts, looking within and deeply understand your empathic nature, you can then flourish.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Anne Marie Johansen is a Holistic Counsellor, Reiki Master, Flower Essence Therapist and Meditation Teacher. She recognises the issues of being an empath and lived with being told she was "too sensitive' since childhood. She discovered and also studied ways to empower this special gift and has been walking alongside others on their journey’s of personal development, discovery & healing for over 25 years. Anne-Marie runs Mandala Holistic Therapies, offering private consults in flower essence therapy, reiki, holistic counselling, meditation instruction and sound healing. Woven into her therapies is her nurturing nature and the intuitive understanding of the body’s subtle energy system and creates a safe space to facilitate powerful change. Passionate about the education of the mind-body connection and facilitating personal journeys of healing and empowerment, she runs regular workshops, events and courses in various venues and yoga studios around Perth as well as her peaceful home studio.
